New Work: Curiosity Time

MC-book-watch-blog-1

I recently finished my latest self-motivated exercise. I created this watch face illustration inspired by curiosity and the feeling of urgency that usually accompanies it; each person (or anthropomorphized dog) only has 24 hours in the day, which never seems like enough time to figure everything out. In the past year, I’ve read more books than I ever have in my life. Being self-employed really gives me the freedom to manage my own time—all my time—and carve out time to learn new things and be inspired by those things. For instance, I just finished reading The Omnivore’s Dilemma, and am now totally enamored with mushrooms and the weird theories around them. So expect to see some mushrooms here in the future! Anyways, even with the ability to allocate my time however I want, I still have that same feeling that there just isn’t enough time in the day. Must. Read. More!

You can see some process work from this project in this previous post.
